Why Gideon checks on his kids. He can’t help it.
OOC: To make sure I drop any plots or subplots, I’m going to split up the sws/incitethemuse verses pretty soon. As soon as my meds stop making me woolly headed I’ll be able to figure out how best to break things up that’s good for all plots. Thanks!
Gideon takes a back entrance into the home, past SHIELD agents and Happy. Pepper offered the car and escort to the front door but truth be told, visits to the Stark home usually began through the kitchen for him and he liked the familiarity of it. Some of his best memories with Maria began in the kitchen or in dens where they’d sit and talk; like children avoiding their parents. And if he was very honest, he’d admit to more than a few times Howard and he had found solace in a bottle of Scotch and leftovers.
And he could recall more than a few times, he and Tony had annoyed Jarvis and Obie by dipping into desserts before their time.
So, when he finally found a way to quietly slip past the paparazzi, he greeted Pepper with a kiss on the cheek and small talk before telling her he’d skip down to the kitchens if Tony could spare a moment.
It had taken everything in him not to run Cecilia Elliot her son Dylan when their names first dropped. It’s not that he didn’t trust either of them but there’d been a natural curiosity and thoughts of Maria that had made him intensely curious about the duo. He knew that Maria would have wanted to keep them close; and it bled to her “brother.”
But right now, the wishes of Maria Stark were the farthest thing from Jason’s mind. He was far more concerned with her son and grandson and for those answer; he’d have to take his time and tread lightly.
